Financial Assurance
One important issue to consider is providing sufficient financial assurance for the duration of your stay in this country. The minimum amount of financial assurance for a Canadian tourist visa is not specified. The reality is that the required amount depends on your length of stay in Canada, staying with friends or staying in a hotel, and varies.
For example, if you intend to stay for 2 months in Canada with your family, you must provide a minimum of $2,000 Canadian dollars for each month. Therefore, for 2 months, you will need a minimum of $4,000. However, this amount may be higher for Iranians. Also, your sponsor can provide a higher amount.
Also, you should consider your medical insurance costs in Canada. If you use private insurance companies, it costs about $5 per day. For example, if you stay in Canada for 3 months (90 days), the total medical insurance cost will be $450.
Documents required for a tourist visa with an invitation letter
Documents related to the inviter, including citizenship or permanent residency card, university enrollment letter, study permit, or work visa, are required. Also, a document confirming the inviter’s economic status in Canada, such as property documents, salary slips, tax payment receipts, etc., must be presented.
Although providing bank assurance by the inviter is not mandatory, it is recommended to request bank assurance from them in order to demonstrate their financial stability and their ability to host you in Canada. This should be added to the documents.
The invitation letter can be from first-degree relatives, friends, or family members. Writing an invitation letter does not imply legal responsibility on the part of the inviter; rather, it demonstrates their readiness to host you in Canada and provide financial support if necessary.
Both the inviter’s and invitee’s information must be included in the invitation letter.

The Canadian immigration office may require you to have the invitation letter verified by official offices in Canada, or to be “Notarized,” as they say. In this case, ask the inviter to send you a letter with an official stamp and Notarized for you.
Tourist visa without an invitation letter; Hotel receipt and travel details
Providing an invitation letter is not mandatory for a Canadian tourist visa, and you can apply for this visa with documents related to hotel reservations and round-trip plane tickets. However, not having an invitation letter reduces the chances of obtaining a visa and exposes your file to risks, unless you focus more on your travel purpose and describe your travel itinerary in detail.
For example, in explaining your daily schedule, write that you intend to go to where every day, visit which place or exhibition. If you have registered for Canadian tourist tours, provide the relevant documents and write the tour itinerary in full from the first to the last day.
